Natural Building Course

The Natural Building Course will teach you the Theoretical and Practical aspects of Building your Natural Home utilizing Natural Building Techniques.

The Course will cover the Design Elements (Theoretical Class Lecture Series) of condideration when planning and constructing your Natural Home.

You will also get the Practical lessons as taught at the Rak Tamachat Natural Building Institute. The Natural Building Practical Series covers the Natural Building Techiques of Traditional Adobe, Adobe Plastering, Super Adobe Earth Bag, Stucco Plastering and Compressed Earth Blocks (C.E.B’s).

The course is designed to give the student a well rounded introduction into the world of Natural Building. If you have wanted to know the Design and Constuction Process and Design Elements and Objectives used by Professional Natural Builders, then the Natural Building Course will give you an outstanding overview and deep-dive into the World of Natural Building.

Natural Building works with natural elements, in the materials used in the construction of the home but also in the way the home was designed to work in harmony with natural elements such as the Earth, Wind, Water and the Sun!

Natural Building Practical Series – Online Permaculture Design Course

The online Natural Building Course Practical Series gives you a taste of what the combined Permaculture Design and Natural Building Courses at Rak Tamachat in Thailand are like. You will learn four amazing Natural Building Techniques that can allow you to build the Natural Home of your Dreams.

You will learn all about building Naturally with the earth beneath your feet, what could be better than that?

We learn to make Traditional Adobe Bricks, Mortar for laying Earthen Bricks and the techniques to install them in your Natural Home.

Next, we learn all about the resilient building method know as Super Adobe Earth Bags: this natural building technique is amazing for both its strength and speed of installation.

You will then Learn how we can make a strong and standardized natural building product with Compressed Earth Bricks (C.E.B’s).

You will learn all the Steps to Prepare and Install Super Adobe with Earth Bags. Learn how to: Get Your Mix Right, Test for Moisture, Make Bags, Load Bags, Start and Stop Bags, Compress Bags, Install Stabilization.

Natural Building Course – Natural Building Final Project

Step 1

Final Project Requirements

 

The Natural Building Final Project consists of the student applying the knowledge taught during the theoretical and practical modules by creating a Natural Home Design Master Plan.

Step 2

Final Project Preperations

 

The Natural Building student will work to create the Final Project Master Plan design of their Natural Home to fufill the requirements of the Natural Building Course.

Step 3

Final Project Revisions

 

The Natural Building Student makes revisions as necessary to fufill the requirements laid out in step one. The Final revision will then be prepared for submission.

Step 4

Final Project Submission

 

The student will submit the Natural Building Final Project Master Plan to the SAI Submission Administration Portal for review and comments by an assigned SAI Educator.

Natural Building Design Review

1. Sumit

Upload your Final Project to the SAI Submissions Admistrator Portal for review by an SAI Educator. The submission must meet the submission criteria for acceptance by your SAI Educator.

2. Review

An SAI Educator will be assigned to you, will Review your submission and check it against the final project submission requirements.

3. Revise and Approve

You will work with your assigned SAI Educator to make necessary corrections and/or improvements to your Final Project to meet the submission requirements.

4. Continued Revise and Approve

Upload your Final Project to the SAI Submissions Admistrator Portal for review by an SAI Educator. The submission must meet the submission criteria for acceptance by your SAI Educator.

5. Delivery to Administrator Portal

Upload your final project to the SAI Submissions Portal. The SAI Educator will approve your project. The SAI Bursars Office will then release your official transcript and Diploma.

6. Award of Certificate & Transcript

Once the SAI Admistrator has received your final project submission and the SAI Educator’s Final Acceptance, your offical Transcript and Certifications will be sent to you via email.
