PROCEDURE FOR CONSULTANCY

1.0   PURPOSE

To facilitate staff evaluation with a view to improving the quality performance of the employees at the SAI.

 

2.0 SCOPE

This procedure covers the performance appraisal of all cadre of employees in SAI.

4.4        Appraiser -The person evaluating the other.

4.5        AF – Appraisal Form

4.6        DoIAS – Director of Institutes Administrative Services.

 

5.0 PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITY

The HRM shall coordinate the appraisal program from the issuance of the appraisal forms to feedback communication of performance appraisal results.

 

 

6.0 METHOD

 

6.1         The DoIAS shall set the date for appraisal activity and issue appraisal forms to departments at the beginning of the exercise.

6.2        Each employee shall receive the AFs and carry out self-assessment immediately.

6.3         The immediate supervisor(1st appraiser) shall hold a one-to-one appraisal session with individual Staff.

6.4         The immediate supervisor shall forward the forms to the second appraiser for further appraisal.

6.5         The second appraiser shall appraise the employee AFs, comment, recommend and forward the completed appraisal forms to DoIAS for analysis

6.6         The DoIAS shall submit an analyzed performance report to the respective authority (DVCs/VC/Council) for an appropriate decision according to the relevant cadre of staff.
