To describe all activities related to the initiation, implementation and keeping of records of corrections, as well as preventive actions.
This procedure is applied to all potential and incurred non-conformities related to product, process and the Quality Management System.
Users of this document are all persons responsible for processes in SAI.

4.0 ABBREVIATIONS / DEFINITIONS
Process owner- Person in charge of a particular process e.g HOD for academic programs.
Preventive action- Action taken to avert a potential non conformity that may affect the quality of operations or activities.
5.0 PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITY
The Management Representative is responsible for promoting awareness and overseeing the overall implementation of this procedure.
6.1 Determination of potential non conformities.
Process owners shall be responsible for conducting departmental meetings in which planning and evaluation of activities shall be done.
Persons involved in the process shall identify potential hindrances to the effective and efficient implementation of activities of their operation.
The resolutions of the meetings shall include actions needed to be taken and the persons responsible.
The process owner shall make follow up for each of the identified actions needed to ensure their implementation.
The process owner shall report to the MR any unaccomplished preventive actions, to enable the MR bring the matter to the management for action.
The process owner shall maintain records of any potential non-conformities and the action taken.
The process owner shall make follow up of each action to evaluate the status of the implementation and effectiveness of the same.
The MR shall maintain records of preventive action as discussed by management and communicate the same to the affected process owners.
